I am from Enugu State. I did my secondary school in Mira-Rio, Lisbon, Portugal. I returned to Nigeria in 2009. And I just graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka, where I studied Microbiology. I hope to be a very successful writer and probably the first female governor of my state.

How did you know about the Queen of Anambra beauty pageant and what motivated you to contest for the crown?
I saw an advert of the pageant online and I decided to give it a try.

What were the step-by-step processes involved in the competition and how were you able to sail through the stages?
It wasn’t an easy competition. We were evaluated based on many criteria, both the ones we were not aware of. The judges assessed our ability to carry out the various tasks assigned to us, our intelligence both academically and otherwise. Your carriage as a young girl, your proposed pet project if one should emerge as queen and many more.

As a new entrant into beauty contest, were you at some point intimidated by the number of contestants?
I never felt intimidated because I knew who I was and what I was there for. A pageant is hardly based on just physical appearance because at the end everyone there is physically beautiful. It takes far more than that. Intelligence matters a lot, how well you comport yourself, how well you carry out the various tasks assigned to you, how you relate with your fellow contestants, and other qualities.

People accuse beauty queens of sleeping with the judges? Did you suffer any sexual harassment during the competition?
If I had encountered any such harassment I would have withdrawn from the pageant because I have my standards. Besides, Jolenzik Events House, the organisers of the pageant are known for their genuineness and transparency. Now, when people go for such competition and they don’t win, they tend to say a lot of things. It is left for you to believe what you wish.

What was your immediate reaction when you were announced the winner of the competition? What prize did you take home as the winner?
I was shocked and excited at the same time. I was given a brand new car, contracts and many other deals.

The crown brings enormous expectations. What has changed in you since you won?
I can say that since I won the competition, I have grown enormously. Knowing that I now stand as a role model to many young girls out there and that great things are expected of me, I can say that I have become a better person.

your parents approve your participation in the pageant knowing that some beauty contests involve contestants dressing in bum shorts or cat walking in under wears?
Queen of Anambra pageant did not include indecent dressing or parading in under wears. Rather, it is a pageant that promotes decency in young girls, and my parents were fully aware of that fact. So, my participation was never a problem to them.

With cash and a new car, your status has changed; how would you manage your fame?
Funny, well… I am still my normal self, though I am ready to face any challenge that would come with my current status.

As a young girl, whether public figure or not, such incidents are expected, how one responds to them is what matters. There is always a matured way to deal with such issues.

Nigeria: Business decline for fish farmers due to inflation in the price of fish feeds.

CB and I seldom battle however when we do, it's about popcorn. She loves sriracha popcorn and she called my obsession with super-rich popcorn a "plague." Personally, I think sriracha popcorn sounds like a culinary premature birth, however whatever. The reason CB and I were quarreling over popcorn this week is on account of we got an abnormal special email about Scarlett Johansson and her French spouse Romain Dauriac. ScarJo and Romain split their time between Paris, New York and LA (apparently). Obviously, ScarJo and Romain have some sort of vanity side-extend that includes… popcorn. Gourmet popcorn. Per the public statement:

PS… CB needed me to incorporate her formula for sriracha popcorn. You take ¼ measure of pieces, place in a paper lunch pack and microwave it for one moment and thirty seconds. At that point include olive oil and sriracha.

Kim Kardashian was and is the celebrity that people love to hate. And not surprisingly, she’s not interested in playing that game anymore. Kim has been very quiet since the Paris robbery on October 3, and it’s looking more and more like Kim is going to be quiet for a while. Sources told People Magazine this week that Kim “is still having a difficult time” and that “she has zero desire to resume her old life.” She’s cancelled her upcoming public appearances and she’s been spending most of her time in her house, with her children. I suspect that by the end of the year, we’ll be seeing more of her, but for now, she’s doing what she needs to do. Slowly, Yusuf moved his head away from her face and stopped to observe her for a while then he smiled mischievously, Bumi trembled at this smile as it immediately sent her down memory lane- three weeks ago to be precise.

He ran his eyes down her knee-lenght gown and for the very first time, he was just noticing how long and straight her legs were. She always his them in those oversized long gowns which she always wore to the church for choir practice. 'Over sized' wasn't actually the word though. He thought. They were just always too long.
Tracing his eyes up to her breast, he gasped as he met her eyes. She had been staring at him all these while and that was when he got to know that he had longed stopped playing the piano and was in another different world altogether...

Ding dong! Ding dong! The door bell rang repeatedly before the door knob suddenly turned and the door stood ajar. Smiling knowingly, Yusuf ushered her in.
"Sister Bumi, what kind of drink would
You prefer? Soft or alcohol?" He asked as he made way to the refrigerator which was positioned against the wall at one corner of the living room.

Pleasantries and you know that" She retorted in a stern calm voice almost whispering. Yusuf made his way back to the couch where Bumni was already seated and sat on an elevated part of it. Slowly he fumbled with her hair, pushing all the braids that had rested on her shoulder backwards to expose her neck. In no time, he could see that delicate neck once more. Tilting his head, he bent over to kiss it but she pushed him away before he could fully bury his head in her neck and gave him this -your-time-is-up- kind of gaze, Yusuf had never seen such a look on her face...

The stealthy movement of the garbage man notwithstanding, could still be sensed by Bumi that night. He must be sneaking into the neighbor's compound again to do God knows what. Bumi had observed that he did it more often these past few days.
Gently adjusting the blinds, she could see him from her window piling up stones and other improvise just to climb the fense. It was a short one though but he was just being overly conscious. She hissed in disappointment and went back to her bed. Lying supine, she turned her face to the wall clock hanging at corner of her room- it was just few minutes past midnight. Time must have stopped entirely she wondered and wished it was so-At least she wouldn't have to be awake till this time thinking of what her fate would be tommorow when she finally meets Brother Yusuf. She would have been sleeping and having a good night rest.
Swiftly, she grabbed one of her pillows and hugged it tightly allowing the hot tears that had welled up in her eyes to flow freely...
